Sri Lanka is very lucky to have very good wildlife and marine life. It is an unmissable experience to do wildlife safari in Sri Lanka. The country has over 26 national parks with very good tourism infrastructure. It is one, or maybe the best country in Asia to see so many different species. You will see herds of elephants walking down the road generally.
2. Enjoying Elephant Safari.
Sri Lanka is famous for elephants and elephant tusks. You must take an elephant safari enjoying the lush green dense forest, hilly paths, splash pools, and elephants spraying water from the trunk from splash pools while sitting on the back of the elephant.

3. Hike the Sigiriya Lion Rock
This natural phenomenon is an enormous (200m) square-shaped rock that looks like it’s placed there. Lion Rock is one of the eight UNESCO World Heritage sights in Sri Lanka and a must-visit. Lion Rock is recommended to climb from 7 AM to avoid the heat and crowd. The climb to the top will take about 45-minutes. Exploring the whole area around and on top of the rock will take you about 2 – 3 hours.
4. Nuwara Eliya Tea Plantations and Tea Estates
Sri Lanka’s Nuwara Eliya is famous for its lush green tea plantations. You can rent a tuk-tuk or take a private cab and visit the tea plantations and tea estates like Damro tea and taste the different varieties of tea available. Nearby you can visit different sightseeings as well.
5. Train ride to/fro to Ella
The train ride to/ from Ella, the mountain city of Sri Lanka is a treat to watch with tea gardens in the background, picturesque landscape, and local kids waving at you during the journey. This is one of the best scenic train journeys in the world.
6. Visit Nine Arch Bridge
This iconic bridge in Sri Lanka is located just outside of Ella. This great piece of architecture is hidden between lush green tea fields and bamboo forests. As the name suggests you can see skies when you stand below the bridge and see the upside.
7. Relax by the beaches of Sri Lanka
An Island nation Sri Lanka famous for its sacred, pristine, clean water beaches where you can bath, surf, play beach games and watch the sunset or relax by the beachside hotels. One of the famous beaches of Sri Lanka is Bentota beach which we visited.
8. Madu-Ganga River Safari
The boat trip traversing through the different islands of the Madu-Ganga river consisting of Mangrove forests and different species of aquatic animals. Also famous for prawn fishing and an open-air fish spa.

9. Visiting Ellewalla Waterfalls
Srilanka is famous for many waterfalls but visiting the unexplored waterfalls, located 30 km from Ella town named Ellewala waterfall is one of the best waterfalls. Visiting here will include activities like tuk-tuk ride, trekking the path to reach the destination, bathing in a clean, shallow, windy waterfall, and clicking breathtaking pictures with this waterfall in the backdrop.
10. Local Shopping & Casino in Colombo
You can visit the Pettah market and Pettah floating market for local street-side shopping, Odel mall, and Laksala mall for souvenirs. Srilanka is also famous for gems so you can visit the gems museum to buy the same. Colombo is also famous for gambling and one of the best casinos where you can visit is Bally’s Casino where you can enjoy playing games and we also have special casino travel packages for people who are fond of casinos.
